At the end of this month, Safeguard Helideck Certification are excited to announce that we will be attending the world’s greatest superyacht event: the Monaco Yacht Show. Without wanting to make you too jealous, here is an overview of the annual show and what it will entail.
The 2018 Monaco Yacht Show will take place, as it has done in previous years, in the iconic Port Hercules of the Principality of Monaco. It will run from the 26th – 29th of September. This year the show will welcome it’s most impressive fleet yet, a magnificent 125 superyachts. The glamour of the boats on display will draw in superyacht owners, potential future superyacht owners, and a number of other associations whose business interests are related to yachts.
The four-day event, which is open to the public and will likely attract more than 30,000 visitors, represents the pinnacle of affluence. For those that can only dream of such exploits, it provides a window into the lifestyle of the super wealthy. It also gives a chance for influencers within the superyacht industry to reach out to new clients.
Superyachts will not be the only luxury assets on display. 580 different exhibitors are invited to line up at the show. These will include a number of glamorous products and services, such as helicopters, private jet manufacturers, water toys, luxury cars and many more. This year, the new layout of the event will take advantage of the redesigned Quai des Etats-Unis. Yacht designers and other parties will now line up alongside the yachts on the jetty, which will improve the all-round experience for visitors.
While they are not the only glamorous items on display, the superyachts are the main attraction of the Monaco Yacht Show. One key feature on some of the most luxurious superyachts is a helipad. A yacht with a helipad allows a client to travel seamlessly between the land and the sea. It also opens up easy access to the most exotic of destinations. No superyacht is truly complete without a helipad.
Being such a prestigious occasion on the superyacht calendar, Safeguard Helideck Certification (SHC) are absolutely delighted to be attending the event. We are looking forward to the chance of seeing existing clients and meeting potential new clients over the course of the show.
